Job Title: Regional Marketing Specialist - Hannaford
Job Location: Scarborough, Maine
Primary Function: Responsible for creating and executing integrated marketing plans for a specific region in alignment with corporate priorities and objectives. This role has a close partnership with Retail Operations and will lead the development and implementation of grand openings, defense plans and market-specific sales and brand equity building programs.
•Develop and execute plans for grand openings, remodeled stores, competitor incursions, sales and/or brand-equity building programs for an assigned region
•Develop and maintain close partnerships with key Retail Operations contacts with a shared goal of growing sales and brand equity.
•Translate conceptual business and marketing ideas into structured marketing and promotional strategies that can be executed on time and on budget.
•Gather and analyze information available (such as market data for the region, competitive details, retail operations feedback, consumer/industry/sales trends, media options/costs, production options/costs, timelines, etc.) to create strategic marketing plans.
•Serve as strategic lead for your plans. Open creative/production job requests, order media (through internal or agency resources, as appropriate), proof all creative, confirm costs and manage budget allocations, prepare/distribute status reports, communicate relevant details to Retail, Merchandising and Corporate business partners, provide consistent and thorough follow-up throughout the life of the plan.
•Work closely with key business partners to measure program performance against pre-defined KPIs (i.e. coupon redemption, sales, transactions, basket size, script counts, etc.); and then identify and recommend improvements and/or adjustments.
•Collaborate closely with other Strategy team members to identify opportunities to link business-building plans with existing sponsorships, healthy living initiatives and/or co-marketing programs.
•Develop effective cross-functional working relationships with key internal and external partners.
•Travel is required on a regular basis, which will include a mix of day and overnight trips

•Bachelor degree and at least 3 years of marketing or equivalent work experience.
•Ability to manage a large number of tasks and priorities on an ongoing basis while maintaining strong working relationships with corporate, retail, community and vendor partners.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong attention to detail and timely, effective follow-up.
•Aptitude for analysis and conceptual problem solving.
•Strong sense of urgency with the ability to drive change and work independently.
•Flexibility, adaptability and creativity required.
